These Terms of Business set out the basis on which bumblebee.ie will provide business services to you
as a client of the Firm.
Please read through these and if you have any queries or need further clarification, we

Statement of Authorised Status
- We advise and arrange cover for various classes of Life and General Insurance business
(term life, mortgage protection and serious illness Income protection, Pensions, Investments,
Motor Insurance, Travel Insurance, Home Insurance, Health Insurance). You can view a list of the
product producers attached.
- Bumblebee.ie is remunerated through commission and payments from insurers/product providers and we
will apply charges as follows: -
- Where we provide advice or other services to you, not associated with a specific policy through our
agency, a fee may be charged. The extent of the fee is determined by the complexity or otherwise of
the matter under review.
- It is the policy of the Firm to avoid any conflict of interest when providing business services to
its clients. However where an unavoidable conflict may arise, we will advise you of this in writing
as soon as possible.
- The Firm will, if necessary, exercise its legal rights to receive any payments due to it from
clients for business services provided by it and, to be reimbursed for any value obtained by the Firm
for clients arising from payments by the Firm on behalf of clients who subsequently default in any
payment due to the Firm.
- Product producers may withdraw benefits or cover on default of any payments due under any products
arranged for your benefit. Details of these provisions will be included in your product terms and conditions.
- Bumblebee.ie will acknowledge in writing any complaints within 5 business days unless the complaint has
been resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant within 5 business days.
The acknowledgement will indicate the name and contact details of the person dealing with the complaint.
The complaint will be fully investigated and we will provide the complainant with a regular written
update on the progress of the investigation at intervals of not greater than 20 business days.
A full response will be provided within 5 business days of completing the investigation.
If we do not resolve the complaint within 40 business days we will inform the complainant of the
anticipated timeframe within which we hope to resolve the complaint. If the complainant is dissatisfied
with the handing or the outcome of the complaint, the complainant may contact the Financial Services Ombudsman,

- We are a member of the Investor Compensation Scheme established under the Investment Compensation Act of 1998,
which provides for the establishment of compensation in certain circumstances, to certain clients, where money
or investment instruments owed or belonging to clients and held, or in the case of investments, administered or
managed by the firm, cannot be returned to those clients for the time being and there is no reasonable
foreseeable opportunity to do so. Where an entitlement to compensation is established, the compensation payable
will be the lesser of 90% of the amount of the client's loss as recognised for the purposes of the Investor
Compensation Act, 1998 or compensation of up to €20,000.
The Firm will effect a transaction with a product provider authorised by the Financial Regulator.
However, we cannot guarantee the solvency or continuing solvency of any insurer used and clients should
note that the financial position of an insurer could change after cover has been incepted.
Claims or return premiums may arise under policies where the insurer becomes insolvent.
In these circumstances, we do not accept liability for the unallocated proportion.
However, we will assist clients to submit claims for the unpaid sums in any liquidation, receivership or similar situation.
